Latest Update: The Grand Re-Opening!

Well, this is a big milestone. This is some nice, fancy-schmancy shit, huh?

It took over a month, but I've finally made the switch from Wix to Neocities. Just so I don't take up too much time yappin', here's what I'm hoping to achieve with this new setup and not having to be limited by hosting regulations unlike with the last one:

- Full creative liberties and intricate customization.
With the rehosting, I now have the freedom to actually format the elements however I want instead of being stuck with Wix's UI. Switching over and actually learning how to code is a hell of a lot more productive instead of being spoonfed garbage and being stuck with slow loading times and lag with just trying to drag and drop an element around.

- NO MORE CENSORSHIP!
A big worry of mine was having to deal with potentially being blacklisted or shadowbanned from Wix because of my political stance against Israel. With how rampant the blatant propaganda is in the United States right now, plus the recent news about the destruction of Rafah, it pushed me over the edge. Despite my lineage and how there's a fairly large chance that I'm Jewish thanks to my mother's side, I absolutely despise zionism and what Israel has been doing.

I touched up a little bit about this on the Wix post I made before shutting down the old site, but for those who want a TL;DR -- I've always been a firm supporter of Palestine. Before when I didn't have time to fully branch out and learn HTML/CSS, I thought that just spreading awareness about the Linktree I set up was good enough. With the recent developments and now the fact that we're at war with Iran, I decided that I need to be doing more to boycott Israel than just having a bunch of links redirecting to GoFundMe pages and charities that directly support human rights. I'm still limited to what I can and can't do, but I don't want to just make statements without any action so I look good in the public eye.

- More focus on supporting the Affiliates
Before, it was fairly easy to just whip up a page for everyone that wanted to be a part of this little project. Still, it wasn't consistent from page to page, and there was always some element that was either misaligned or not formatted properly or it ws hidden by a massive link or a giant Wix watermark on the site somewhere. So I said "fuck that", and I've decided to reformat everything so it's Affiliates first and then my content next. I'm not going to bother with messing around with SEO stuff right now, because that also involves AI bot scraping and other shit for potential ad revenue and that's not what I want this site to promote.

From now on, Affiliate content will come first. I don't think there's a way to add other collaborators to Neocities just yet, but I'll figure out a way to make it so actual Affiliates themselves can update the site with their own announcements -- even if it's just having them DM me what they want to say and I add it in the middle of the night when I'm on a 5-hour work bender and running on nothing but Dubby and Monster and moka pot coffee.

I think that's everything out of the way. Welcome to the new site, everyone.
