GOO MORNING CAMPERS.
With the rise of electricity bills and the dwindling of my sanity, I've made the decision to extremely limit my slots and try to make a living by opening up writing commissions. This year has been arguably one of the worst that I've had to experience since my middle school days or during the beginning of the COVID pandemic. My to-be mother-in-law passed away, things have been getting more stressful financially, I've been struggling with a lot of art block and trying to make ends meet, on top of worrying about all of the bullshit that's happening politically as we speak.. We need to start up something new. We need a fresh change of pace.
But with new commissions comes new TOS, and honestly? It's about time that I clarify a few things since I did get this question a few times. Please be aware that any requests that break these condensed and summarized terms will be declined, and any payments will be refunded.
1. Time Frames and Slots
So far there's 20 commission slots (10 SFW, 10 NSFW) and 10 request slots open. This isn't to bottleneck the market or to inflate my value, but it just simply makes things easier on me to manage whenever I'm stuck with X amount of requests and I hardly have any time or inspiration to work and finish them. With this said, commission slots do take a higher priority and there isn't an exact time estimate on when I can get a prompt done. The moment that I have more experience with writing, I'll update this part with more accurate information.
2. No Smut / Porn Prompts
Yes I write NSFW content, but it's specifically for gore and Dead Dove content. I don't trust in my abilities to actually write smut and have it be good, nor do I feel comfortable with it just yet. I get people are gooners, but I don't want to get dragged down into that rabbit hole and have people demanding for content when I'm not confident in my skills.
3. No Requests for Actual People
Fictional pookies? Fair game. Free real estate, even. But requesting actual IRL people? That's parasocial behavior, even if they're dead. They didn't consent to having content written about them, and they sure don't consent to being objectified on the internet for people who either can't afford therapy, are lonely, or a combination of both.
(And I'm allowed to say that because I am part of both categories, thank you very much.)
As someone who's had this done to me without my consent by an ex-boyfriend of mine, the last thing that I want to do is make someone else relive that kind of pain and discomfort. I still feel uncomfortable with looking at myself, and I'm even more of a private person than I was before as far as meet-ups or pictures of myself.
4. Requested Content
Unless specified in the text box when purchasing a slot, I'll be writing original content for the Acrebis Mythos. I need to flesh out more of my characters anways, but this content will be considered not canon for all of the other food that I've got cooking up and simmering away in the background. The max character count is 150 character if I remember correctly, but there's also an option for picking up to 2 prompts and opting into whether or not you want it as either a standalone piece or an RP bot.
Speaking of prices, the only thing that I will charge for is content rating and the length of the piece. The highest price I've set is $25 for a short story length commission, and from doing my quick skimming of other authors' prices, I'd say that it's fair for 1000 words at least.
